science children experiments activities at home
Here are some great activities you can try at home to get your girls and boys thinking like a scientist!
Insect Lore Orignional Butterfly Garden

I have done this experiment with a whole class and they were amazed by watching the metamorphasis of the caterpillars (I was too!)
Very self containted so the caterpillars/butterflies cannot escape. This pack comes with all you need (You will have to give the butterflies a little fresh fruit once they hatch.)
The children had a real sense of achievement when we let the butterflies go!

Great activity!

Magic Growing Tree
I remember having this when I was little!
Simply add the solution provided and in about 6 hours you will go from a bare tree to a tree that is in full bloom all through saturation and crystallisation.

Grow your Own Magic Crystal Science Kit
I can't wait to try this next experiment! Crystals form by a process called nucleation and you can watch the process over about 10 days

Adult supervision required
