On the tip of my tongue is how I really feel
On the tip of my tongue is what I want to say
On the tip of my tongue are thoughts from my mind
And
On the tip of my tongue is where they shall stay
So
My lips press together and squeeze so tight
My lips press together like an impermeable seal
My lips understand what my tongue wants to say
But
My lips realise that my tongue can't reveal
Yet
The smile on my face a facade of joy
The smile on my face says I have little to say
The smile on my face  says I'm happy
But
The smile on my face has a small giveaway
Look
There's a flaw in my smile the dimple on the left
There's a flaw in my smile my reflection shows me
There's a flaw in my smile I force every day
There's a flaw in my smile, look carefully and you'll see
That
I'm no longer the little girl I once was
That i'm not quite yet the woman I want to be
An almost impossible task that I'm finding, this transition
That I'm trapped in this confusion called me
